Summary:
With periodic supervision, utilizes fundamental human resources knowledge to provide broad support and guidance in all functional areas of human resources for assigned business units. Balances employee and strategic interests to meet the objectives of the company and the business units. Communicates, administers, and implements human resources related programs, policies, and procedures. Exhibits intermediate to senior level proficiency in a broad range of human resource activities. Essential Duties/Functions:
Participates and administers moderately complex human resources assignments. Provides a range of human resources support and serves as the human resource contact to assigned business units. Establishes strategic partnerships with business units to advise, counsel, and ensure consistent implementation of human resources policies, procedures, and programs. Communicates, implements, and administers employee support programs. Coordinates staffing and retention activities within assigned business units to support workplace objectives. Monitors and positively affect employee relations within assigned business units. Supports company compliance programs to ensure equity, legal compliance, and reinforcement of non-discriminatory employment practices. Assists with coordinating the RS1 training process including the scheduling of classes, arranging instructors, assisting with teammate issues during class, logging for payroll and enrolling students in new-hire orientation online training. Assists with coordinating deckhand placements with Port Captains/Crew Dispatchers. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Communications, Organizational Development, or related field preferred or equivalent education and/or experience. Years of
Experience:
5
years of Business/HR experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
HR Management, HR Generalists & Business PartnersEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
