Job Details Description Essential Duties/Functions:
In consultation with Operations, Facilities, Engineering and all supporting groups, direct the design, development, deployment, monitoring & review of safety systems, processes and programs Ensure integration of safety systems, processes, and programs with ACBL's operations, to meet our customers' expectations, and regulatory safety requirements. Develop, in consultation with Operations, plans and strategies to meet company goals in support of safety across all levels of the company. Continuously monitor and improve safety programs through review of safety systems, safety plans, tracking of safety key performance indicators (KPIs), audits and inspections, and management reviews. Monitors and facilitates the reporting of safety performance across the organization and drives the development and implementation of safety improvement plans to drive safety results and safety culture within the company. Responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state and local legislation and codes governing safety regulations and guidelines. Continuously monitors and reports on relevant changes in applicable safety regulations/requirements related ACBL's Operations. Assesses safety risk potential of existing operations and new business opportunities. Coordinates, develops and reviews JHA/JSA(s) for jobs and activities undertaken by individuals and groups performing work functions. Develops and deploys incident investigation programs/procedures, including data analysis and incident prevention (loss control) programs and procedures. Coordinates with Safety Training Director safety education/training efforts for all levels of employees, including supervision and senior management. Direct design and deployment of the safety portions of the training programs, Incident Management System and safety program tracking systems. Support industry level initiatives and coordinate with other industry groups and partners in support of safety programs in relative to inland maritime operations. Monitors and reports on relevant changes in applicable safety regulations/requirements related ACBL's Operations. Supports Vetting and Marine Assurance activities in regards, but not limited to, safety metrics, investigation and representation at customer KPI meetings and reviews. Articulate and live ACBL's culture by being present in the workplace, setting an example by modeling the required behaviors in the workplace, and hold others (employees and peers) accountable for their actions by identifying and acting on behavior which is inconsistent with agreed-upon standards. Work safely and not put themselves or others' health or safety at risk by their acts or omissions. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Requirements:
B.S. degree in Safety, Environmental, Operations Management, Education or related field preferred Relevant HSSE or equivalent qualifications/certifications, e.g., BCSP, CSP, CIH is Preferred Years of
Experience:
10 years' experience in related safety systems/audit management role is required. Maritime experience working on vessels is preferred. Demands:
Ability to use office productivity software such as Microsoft Office Suite Ability to learn new computer programs. Must have current, or pass within 1 year, OSHA HAZWOPER and ICS 100-300, 700 and 800 courses and maintain certifications. USCG licensing is preferred Travel as required as required, estimated to be 30%. Must maintain valid Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) FLSA Status:
Exempt.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Environmental Health & SafetyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
